Treyarch and Raven Software have published yet another Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update, this time targeting a few of the game’s more annoying elements, such as the flashbang screen effect, the Recon Combat Specialty, and the spawn system. The November 4 update is only the developer’s latest patch seeking to iron out the experience. Although players quickly took to this year’s Call of Duty when its release date arrived a few weeks back, many have made it clear that there are more than a few kinks left to deal with. Today’s update is one of the beefiest yet, as it tackles common issues and more while promising to provide even more specific fixes in the future.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Address Flashbang and Spawn ComplaintsOne tool that players of every skill level can’t seem to stand is the flashbang, which has been called out for the lengthy affect it has on players’ screens. On smaller maps like Nuketown, of which there are a few of in Black Ops 6, the flashbang leaves Operators unable to see their screen for long portions of each match. Post update, players will notice that the duration of the effect has been reduced by 20%. Whether it calms complaints remains to be seen, but it’s clear Treyarch is at least listening.Other common talking points the team sought to address with today’s patch include the spawn system and Recon Combat Specialty. The former is often a point of contention in any Call of Duty entry, so it should be nice to hear that spawn logic has been tuned across “several” Multiplayer maps in Black Ops 6.Our number one goal is to always provide the safest spawn that we can across all maps and game modes.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 is now live, and includes loads of new features–one of which is a long-awaited mannequin Easter egg that players can unearth in the game’s iconic Nuketown map.
Those who have played Nuketown before already know the drill: The map’s layout features a suburban neighborhood with model homes, winding picket fences, and freshly-cut lawns, all packed into a nuclear testing zone that gives off major Fallout vibes. Inhabited solely by mannequins, Nuketown has always been a place where secrets lurk, but Treyarch has kicked things up a notch this time around.
Warning: Spoilers ahead! Proceed with caution if you wish to experience the new Nuketown Easter egg without assistance. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes putting major “frontline” titles on a subscription service like Game Pass will no doubt help drive memberships, though he suggested this may only work for so long. In a new interview, Zelnick said Microsoft’s decision to put Black Ops 6 on Game Pass on day one “won’t affect” any decisions that Take-Two makes about its own games.
And why is that? “Because our decisions are rational,” he told GI.biz.

Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation for August 19 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. However, it’s not the usual kind of Nintendo Direct that you’d expect.
This showcase is actually a 10-minute “Nintendo Museum Direct” and will be a tour of the Nintendo Museum that’s slated to open this fall in Kyoto, Japan. To clear up any confusion and dash any hopes, Nintendo also said that there will be no game announcements or any mention of the Switch successor during this presentation.
Nintendo has been upfront about what to expect from its Nintendo Direct presentations, especially when it comes to the Switch’s successor. However, it has confirmed that it will at least be revealed by April 2025. The last Direct Nintendo aired was back in June, and it revealed some big games l…
