Treyarch and Raven Software have published yet another Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 update, this time targeting a few of the game’s more annoying elements, such as the flashbang screen effect, the Recon Combat Specialty, and the spawn system. The November 4 update is only the developer’s latest patch seeking to iron out the experience. Although players quickly took to this year’s Call of Duty when its release date arrived a few weeks back, many have made it clear that there are more than a few kinks left to deal with. Today’s update is one of the beefiest yet, as it tackles common issues and more while promising to provide even more specific fixes in the future.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Address Flashbang and Spawn ComplaintsOne tool that players of every skill level can’t seem to stand is the flashbang, which has been called out for the lengthy affect it has on players’ screens. On smaller maps like Nuketown, of which there are a few of in Black Ops 6, the flashbang leaves Operators unable to see their screen for long portions of each match. Post update, players will notice that the duration of the effect has been reduced by 20%. Whether it calms complaints remains to be seen, but it’s clear Treyarch is at least listening.Other common talking points the team sought to address with today’s patch include the spawn system and Recon Combat Specialty. The former is often a point of contention in any Call of Duty entry, so it should be nice to hear that spawn logic has been tuned across “several” Multiplayer maps in Black Ops 6.Our number one goal is to always provide the safest spawn that we can across all maps and game modes.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick believes putting major “frontline” titles on a subscription service like Game Pass will no doubt help drive memberships, though he suggested this may only work for so long. In a new interview, Zelnick said Microsoft’s decision to put Black Ops 6 on Game Pass on day one “won’t affect” any decisions that Take-Two makes about its own games.
And why is that? “Because our decisions are rational,” he told GI.biz.

One of the most memorable moments from this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was the Hall H reveal that Robert Downey Jr. is coming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom alongside the Russo brothers in the next two Avengers movies. And at D23, it was also announced that Downey will be playing Tony Stark/Iron Man in an upcoming attraction at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus. Nintendo has announced a new Nintendo Direct presentation for August 19 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET. However, it’s not the usual kind of Nintendo Direct that you’d expect.
This showcase is actually a 10-minute “Nintendo Museum Direct” and will be a tour of the Nintendo Museum that’s slated to open this fall in Kyoto, Japan. To clear up any confusion and dash any hopes, Nintendo also said that there will be no game announcements or any mention of the Switch successor during this presentation.
Nintendo has been upfront about what to expect from its Nintendo Direct presentations, especially when it comes to the Switch’s successor. However, it has confirmed that it will at least be revealed by April 2025. The last Direct Nintendo aired was back in June, and it revealed some big games l…

There’s a big contrast between the two leading characters of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Yasuke–the samurai–is built like a brick house, armed to the teeth, and powerful. Conversely, Naoe–the shinobi–is made for stealth and speed. According to the game’s developers, Naoe is so fast that she can even pull off a Naruto run–the running style made famous by the manga and anime of the same name.
Creative director Jonathan Dumont confirmed to EW that Naoe can imitate Naruto’s running stance where he leans forward with his arms bent back while moving at incredible speeds. However, Dumont stopped short of calling it a Naruto run.
“We do have a run on top of buildings that has a little bit of a wink-wink to it,” said Dumont. He went on to share some elements of Naoe’s backstory, a…
As one of the original actors from the American incarnation of The Office, Rainn Wilson has been associated with the franchise for almost 20 years. Wilson’s character, Dwight Schrute, was even in contention for his own spin-off series, The Farm. While that show didn’t go forward, Peacock recently picked up The Office’s follow-up series, which will move the setting to the Midwest. And if Dwight is needed for a guest appearance, Wilson is up for it.
“I don’t see how Dwight goes from Scranton to wherever they’re shooting it in the Midwest,” Wilson told CinemaBlend. “But, you know, if Greg [Daniels] wants me to do something, I’m happy to do something. But, I am sad that they’re leaving Scranton. I understand… why they’re leaving Scranton, but I kind of feel like there should be like…
Camouflage prints on controllers are an oddly popular design choice, and if you’re a fan of this look, you can get a Scuf Instinct Pro controller sporting a unique black tiger color scheme for just $156 at Best Buy. This particular model released at Best Buy last November, so this is a massive $84 discount for a great Xbox wireless controller that regularly sells for $240. Admittedly, the list price is too high considering the Xbox Elite Series 2 costs $180, but the deal price makes it more reasonable. While it has all the usual features you’d expect from a wireless device, the Scuf Instinct Pro also has a few more tricks up its metaphorical sleeve to make it a tempting purchase for gamers looking for a more professional device.
It has four embedded remappable back buttons that ca…
